Future Changes to the NPMS Submission Requirements

Effective January 1, 2027 the NPMS pipeline and LNG plant data submissions must adhere to PHMSA's new requirements. Requirements for breakout tank submissions will remain unchanged. Return to the main Pipeline Operator section of the NPMS website for current requirements that apply to submissions completed during 2026 (CY25 reporting).

Operators should use the information on this page to prepare for the March 15 and June 15, 2027 NPMS submission due dates (CY26 reporting). PHMSA will add new information as it becomes available. During the first week of January 2027 PHMSA will erase this page and incorporate these files into the main Pipeline Operator section of the NPMS website. In July 2027 PHMSA will republish this page with changes effective 1/01/2028.

Because of the attributes changes, No Change Notifications will not be possible for pipeline or LNG plant submissions during 2027, or for pipeline submissions during 2028.
